Next on the agenda is the Fly Fishing Show in Pleasanton over three days at the end of February (Friday, the 27th, through Sunday, March 1st). This annual event spotlights thousands of products, services, and destinations for everything fly fishing, including fly fishing authors, celebrities, fly tiers, fly-casting, fly fishing industry exhibitors, and a learning center perfect for the entire family. As the slogan goes:

”Fly Fishing isn’t part of the show, it is the whole show”. For more information, go to https://www.flyfishingshow.com/

  • The Northern California Council of Fly Fishers International (NCCFFI) will be sending out communications about the show to the fly fishing community and through outreach to the broader community to encourage people to get familiar with our great sport. At the show, NCCFFI will be in Building A and have lots of information about Fly Fishing and our 28 Fly Fishing Clubs in Northern California & Nevada, so people can learn more about the sport and what is available to them in their community. In addition, NCCFFI will provide information about FFI and the important work underway in conservation, education, instruction & learning. NCCFFI will be conducting a number of activities at the show, including…Demonstrating Fly Tying & Knot Tying at our booth area
  • Fly Casting Instruction & Practice Outside
  • Partnering with Bay Area Scout Organizations to help scouts pass up to three parts of their Fly Fishing Merit Badge (fly tying, knot tying, and fly casting) at our booth
  • NCCFFI will host the President’s Lunch for Fly Fishing Club Leadership on Saturday, February 28th, and will reach out to all club presidents with details prior to the show.

Please forward information about the Fly Fishing Show to your friends and colleagues, and let’s have a great turnout at the show!

Note: We are looking for volunteer fly tyers & knot tyers to assist with the scout merit badge program on Saturday (February 28th) and Sunday (March 1st) for morning & afternoon shifts. Please reach out to the team leading this effort – Bob Fujimura ( deltaflyfishers@gmail.com ), Kim Lloyd ( kim@westernprojectmanagement.com ), or to me ( rjbeltramo@aol.com ) for more information and to sign up and volunteer.
